On Friday 13 May, the Department of Fundamental Neurosciences at UNIL held its 3rd annual symposium, on the theme ” Evolution of the Brain”. See the program here. It was a great success, with an excellent combination of outstanding science and music for our synapses!
On May 3 2016, members of Bagni lab attended the GSKE/FMRE 2016 academic session at the Royal Palace of Brussels, where Prof. Bagni received the Solvay Prize. It was a great honour to be recognized by the GSKE/FMRE for our research and a very special event to be able to attend.
Prof. Bagni has been awarded the Ernest Solvay prize for 2016 by the Queen Elizabeth Medical Foundation, for the project “CYFIP1-pathies: shared pathways in intellectual disabilities and psychiatric disorders”. This is a great honour and we are very grateful for the ongoing support of the foundation for our research.
Prof. Bagni is giving a webinar for Spectrum, the leading website for autism research news of the Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI), on March 23 2016. She will be talking about molecular pathways in Fragile X Syndrome. For more information and registration, please see here.
